Dhoni promises of a fightback
Despite the demoralising nature of the defeat in Sydney, India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni feels his side can bounce back at the WACA, Perth.
Australia have secured a 2-0 series lead against India after winning the SCG Test by innings-and-68-run.
"We have lost the chance of winning the series but still with two more Test matches to go we can level," he said. "I'll definitely be speaking to the team [about fighting back].
"That's what we are looking to do.
"That's what we are looking to do.
"People talked a lot about winning the series over here but right from the very first press conference I've said it's not about how good we look on paper," Dhoni added.
"It's about what you do on the field. Hopefully we'll come back with a winning streak. We need a good performance in all three departments - fielding, batting and bowling."
Facing wrath for his overtly defensive captaincy, India captain admitted that the team was missing on the execution part.
"It is a bit of worry. Our plans need to be executed better. It's something we need to address as quickly as possible," Dhoni concluded.
